I'll write a poem every day, might be tiny but it'll be complete.
One exception perhaps: larvae
live in fast-moving streams
adults fly weakly
their emergence from
underwater rocks
is most unusual, the pupa
comes to the surface and explodes
catapulting her into the air
the wings are pre-expanded
though finely folded – she simply
flies away – they never lose their creases
see the adults' long slender legs
dangling into the water
along stream borders.
